Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ)
In partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Health, FIOCRUZ conducts HIV/AIDS research and training, designs public health initiatives, distributes information, vaccines and drugs. A Portuguese-language site.

Agências de Noticias da AIDS
As part of Brazil's program to combat HIV/AIDS, this organization helps coordinate projects and align them with international initiatives. This Portuguese-language site features news releases, an electronic HIV/AIDS library, and an index of Brazilian NGOs.
Associação Brazileira Interdisciplinar de AIDS (ABIA)
ABIA informs public health policy and provides HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and assistance services. This Portuguese- language site features project descriptions and numerous related links.
Far-Manguinhos
A local generic drug company which supplies 40% of the antiretrovirals used in the country's HIV/AIDS treatment program. Its generic zidovine, didanosine, lamivudine, zidovudine+lamivudine, and zalcitabine have been approved in bioequivalence tests. Generic indinavir and nevirapine are in the pipeline.
Grupo Pela Vidda
An umbrella organization comprised of nongovernmental, public and private organizations dedicated to HIV/AIDS support. Provides counseling, advocacy, and outreach services.

Testes para Vacinas Anti-HIV
Portuguese-language web site provides information about HIV vaccines for the general public, and offers volunteers the opportunity to sign up for vaccine trials at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.
