Founded in 1983 by gay men and a female nurse in Berlin, the Deutsche AIDS-Hilfe had as its mission to raise awareness and disseminate information, to support patients and to advocate against a feared renewal of homophobic repression.
Since 1985, the DAH is the umbrella organization of about 120 regional affiliates. Includes information about HIV prevention and treatment, hepatitis and STIs. Site in German.
