Doravirine (Pifeltro) + tenofovir DF (Viread) + lamivudine (Epivir) (Delstrigo)

Type of Drug: Fixed-Dose Combination
Fixed-dose combinations combine the most commonly prescribed doses of 2 or more medications into a single pill.

Approved adult dosing

Doravirine 100 mg + tenofovir DF 300 mg + lamivudine 300 mg in a single tablet

  • One tablet once daily

Notes on taking this medication

  • Can take with or without food
  • Delstrigo can interact with other drugs; consult your medical provider
  • Persons with kidney problems may need an adjustment to their doses of the component drugs, so may not be able to take this combination pill

Doravirine (Pifeltro)

  • Diarrhea, nausea
  • Headache
  • Rash (usually is mild to moderate. If severe rash develops, contact your medical provider)

Tenofovir DF (Viread)

  • Gassiness; abdominal discomfort; nausea; diarrhea
  • Kidney impairment
  • Bone impairment
  • Tenofovir DF is active against hepatitis B, and stopping it can cause "flare-up" of hepatitis B

Lamivudine (Epivir)

  • Side effects are rare but include headaches and general sense of feeling ill
  • Lamivudine is active against hepatitis B, and stopping it can cause "flare-up" of hepatitis B
