These fact sheets from the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other organizations will answer those questions quickly and accurately.
Fact Sheets from the UCSF Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) The HIV Prevention Fact Sheets are referenced summaries of specific topics important to HIV prevention ranging from the needs of various communities and subpopulations, to information about prevention interventions and prevention theory. All fact sheets available in English and Spanish.
Fact Sheets from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Topics include CDC plans and programs, transmission (populations affected/risk behaviors), vaccine research, virology. All fact sheets in English, some available in Spanish.
Fact Sheets on HIV/AIDS for Nurses and Midwives
WHO and UNAIDS, May, 2000. Thirteen fact sheets covering major topics of importance in the care of people living with HIV/AIDS, including prevention. The target audience is nurses and midwives, and they are designed to be adapted to regional and local needs.
