 | | Activity Objectives |  | In this presentation, Dr. Shoback addresses low bone mass among HIV-infected individuals. After providing an explanation of the science of osteoporosis in HIV-uninfected patients, Dr. Shoback describes the epidemiology of low bone mass among HIV-infected individuals. She addresses key questions regarding screening and treatment, such as risk factors, when to start treatment, and what treatment is believed to be effective. |
