In this presentation, Dr. Christopher Pilcher, MD, discusses research on new testing technology and policies, acute HIV, and HIV transmission. He describes the unique HIV epidemic and HIV testing policies in San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital, noting how universal ART policies affect HIV transmission and summarizing key anticipated changes to federal testing policies.
