The activity presents results from 3 research studies addressing the question of how to engage and retain patients in HIV services. In particular, it addresses measurement of retention and qualitative assessment of engagement in care, longitudinal results from the San Francisco "test and treat" policy, and a description of a comprehensive community health campaign in Uganda.
