Mark Jacobson discusses the case of an HIV-infected man who presented with cough and dyspnea. While describing the case, he reviews fungal pneumonia, cryptococcal chorioretinitis, an algorithm for sepsis, and the optimum timeframe for initiation of ART for those with AIDS-related cryptococcal meningitis.
