Rob Garafolo describes the work of the Chicago-based Howard Brown Health Center, one of the country's largest health centers serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities. In addition to providing health services, Howard Brown has an active research branch and has published important research in the area of transgender youth.
