National Transgender Health Summit 2015 Opening Remarks

Conference Co-Chair Gregory Rebchook, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at UCSF's Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) and a faculty member at the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health. He received his doctorate in Sociocultural Psychology from the University of Colorado. He is the co-director of the CAPS Technology and Information Exchange (TIE) Core and is the principal investigator (PI) of a CDC grant to provide capacity building assistance to community-based organizations -- including those working in trans communities. He also leads a project to evaluate and provide technical assistance to 9 demonstration sites that are engaging HIV-positive transgender women of color into HIV care for the Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS) program out of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau.
