Transwomen and PrEP: Experiences from the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center

Asa Radix, MD, is Director of Research and Education and internist/HIV specialist at the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York, and a clinical assistant professor at NYU. Asa completed initial medical training in the Caribbean then undertook postgraduate training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at the University of Connecticut in the USA. Asa also holds degrees in epidemiology and public health. Asa is a consultant for the World Health Organization on transgender health issues and was a technical adviser for the Blueprints for Transgender Health in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia and the Pacific. Asa also contributed to the South African Transgender Health guidelines.
