IAS-CTP Ghent International Working Group on HIV in Women and Children

International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials Group
(IMPAACT) IMPAACT evaluates treatments for HIV-infected children, adolescents, and pregnant women; develops new approaches for the interruption of mother-to-infant transmission; and evaluates vaccines for the prevention of HIV sexual transmission among adolescents.

Abbott Laboratories donates Determine HIV 1/2 tests to eligible countries for pregnant women, their spouses and children of those women who test HIV-positive. Boehringer Ingelheim donates nevirapine free of charge to eligible countries for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1.
